Summer is finally here.
The sun is shining, the birds are singing and it’s time to back off a little bit and forget about work and complex projects.
That being said, I decided to start writing a new article-series about Clubs and Restaurants in Warsaw where I’m currently based. This city has given me so much, it is my turn to give back a little bit.
And to start, I’m gonna review the new club : The View Warsaw.
So… Should you visit Warsaw’s Rooftop Club, The View ?
Please note I’m not getting payed to write this article. This is my personal review and feel free to share with me your opinion. It’s a free country after all, isn’t it?
The music is unique.
We are talking about high-quality deep house music that produces the perfect vibe for a rooftop. It is mood music for a serious conversation. But it is also danceable. You can sit back, look at the skyline, and make plans with your business partners. Or you can get physical with a new friend on the dance-floor.
The View has a built in conversation starter
…that makes the entire clubbing experience much more interesting.
I enjoy pulling people aside to say, “come I will show you my building.” Then we go to the overlook, and start a conversation about Warsaw.
Kind of neat.
I can’t show people my flat from other clubs in Warsaw. At The View I can give a very direct answer to the question “where do you live.”
So yeah, if my building gets on fire, I can see it from up there, then I know I’ll just have to go book a room in Interconti for an epic after party with all my party animals crew…
… which brings me to my next point:
Beautiful crowd!
I enjoy looking at beautiful people. It’s inspiring, exiting and, somehow, profound.
At the opening party, I felt like I was in a Fashion show in Paris. The ladies were sophisticated and sexy, the Gentlemen were elegant and classy. Perfect.
(Except some of the Gentlemen were wearing some cheap Pochettes which annoyed me—but that’s a different article.)
Warsaw has something that New York can never have.
Latitude.
What I mean is that Warsaw is really far north! This matters, because it means that the sun sets extremely late and comes up extremely early.
When you are inside a dungeon-like club, with the atmosphere of a basement with neon lights, this geographic detail means absolutely nothing.
But, when you are at a Rooftop Club like The View Warsaw, it makes for an unforgettable experience. In theory, you can arrive at the club at the 10 P.M. with the last vestiges of sunlight still on the horizon, begin a conversation with some friends, continue dancing with new friends, and then before you know it, you are looking at the Warsaw skyline, watching the sun come up. You have literally just danced the whole night away, and you have been a witness to it. That is fucking cool.
For that experience alone The View is worth it.
